WHY: In our community, there are more than 400 homeless youth and teens a night looking for a safe place to sleep. Your family or youth group can help change that, while teaching a valuable lesson about giving back.
WHAT: Help your children or youth group set-up a Lemon“Aid” stand to benefit the Pathfinders Homeless Youth Shelter.
WHO: Selling Lemon“Aid” for Pathfinders is open to everyone – and kids of all ages. Plus it’s simple and works around your schedule!
WHEN: Anytime between now and July 15th. You pick the date and time!
HOW? It’s as Easy as 1, 2, 3…
Pick a date/ time before July 15 to sell lemonade. “Register” your lemonade stand at least 72 hours in advance by filling out this form, and your family could be part of a local news story! There is no cost to register – it is simply a way for us to track the success of the Lemon”Aid” movement.
Talk to your children or youth group about the needs of kids’ right here in our community. Let them know they can help by selling Lemon“Aid”! Engage kids by helping them make signs and handing out flyers in your town or subdivision. Ask for their ideas on how to get the word out!
Sell Lemonade at your stand and donate your proceeds! We encourage you to take photos of your lemonade stand and submit them to your local paper, post them on your facebook page, send them to lemon-aid@hotmail.com or submit them online at www.mycommunitynow.com
How to Donate Your Lemon“Aid” Proceeds…
Bring whatever proceeds (there is no minimum) from your Lemon”Aid” stand to Milwaukee’s Bradford Beach on Friday, July 17 anytime between 6-10 p.m. where your kids will be recognized as a Pathfinders Partner and they can hear stories of kids who’ve been helped by Pathfinders Youth Shelter.*
